Kitchening - Part IX

These are photos from the 9th and 10th day of work (Monday and Tuesday) on the new kitchen. I was too sick on Monday to take pictures, so these were taken after all the work on Monday and Tuesday.

The floor is going down, the new trim has been put up around the dining room and kitchen, and the recessed lights have been installed.

The dining room with new window molding and paint.

Dining room again, new base molding, molding around the entry -and- [gasp] lights!

Hey, what's under the tarp? The new floor! Bellawood Brazilian Cherry. Comes with a 50 year warranty. Let's see, I will be um, old, when the warranty expires.

The kitchen will be floored tomorrow. The unfinished light openings in the ceiling are for some pendant lights that we have not purchased yet that will go above the island.

The cabinet above the fridge is moved forward due to a depth calculation error with the fridge.

New molding around the entry to the living room.

The art wall with the directional recessed spot light.

You can see some of the original kitchen in this old posting.

Stay tuned for Kitchening - Part X: All in Place

We have an offer on Ashland this morning and we have been mulling it over. We just dropped the price 2 days ago and have an open house scheduled for this weekend.
