Kitchening - Part VII

These are photos from the 7th day of work (Thursday) on the new kitchen.

A lag in postings due to family illness. Henry had a bout of stomach flu last Friday and by Sunday night Joni and I were also out of action. Today is my first day back in service. I was too sick to take photos on Monday (day 9 of work) so Monday and Tuesday will be combined into one post.

Today we get a handle on our cabinets and drawers and the fridge bay is installed. (It gets re-installed on day 10 due to a depth calculation error).

The boxes in the foreground are the crown molding.

The fridge pocket and upper cabinet on the right. The open space to the left is for the dishwasher.

The range waits patiently for its special place.

The new handles. The shape compliments the pulls on the fridge, dishwasher, and range doors.

Waaaah!!!! Extreme close-up!

Another close-up of the handles.

You can see some of the original kitchen in this old posting.

Stay tuned for Kitchening - Part VIII: Paint 'n Painters

Henry spent the last 2 nights and all of Tuesday with Jim and Ellie as we have been too wiped out with the stomach bug. Big THANKS to Nannie for the chicken soup last night.
