These are photos from the 8th day of work (Friday) on the new kitchen. Thanks to all who sent kind words about our recent sick days.
On this day the first wall paint goes up, the dishwasher and mega fridge arrive on the scene, and the crown molding goes up.

All the handles and pulls are in place and the crown molding is up.

Ho boy! Me scrubby-scrubby no mo!

The wall paint and fridge pocket.

Mighty Might Fridge. The finish looks black, but it is stainless. It also comes in titanium - to meet MIL-STD-810 standards?

Open wide and say "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" So many places to lose that last yogurt.

Another pic of the crown. And a look into the future: This wall will be a sand color in the next series of photos tomorrow.

The Crown: Spiffy. No other word describes it better.
Stay tuned for Kitchening - Part IX: Floored 'n More

Henry returned to our house yesterday after his safe quartering at Nanny and Bubbie's. He was already conked out by the time I got home, close to 8 PM. I had to stop in Ashland after work to get the house ready for a showing that evening and also a stop for BJ's essentials & take-out (is a Fresh City muffaletta a true Muffaletta? Don't think so).
Nice to wake him up this morning and get a (sleepy) "Daddy!" exclamation.
